The Cameras in Toy Story 4

This video by Nerdwriter1 talks about Toy Story 4, an animated movie as you may already know. The video begins by talking about a particular shot in the movie, which is then explained in the video to be a ‘split dioptre shot’- how there are two focuses, one in the foreground and one in the background.

The question that arises now is why Pixar would use an effect that would only be needed in real life in an animated movie like Toy Story; and then the video answers this question and explains Pixar’s virtual cameras and its lenses.
